Too restrictive

Great images, and good copy. Mag looks great...to a point.
1-- I would like to chose horizontal or vertical format so I could see the 2 page spreads as the photographer had intended.
2-- I would like a variable size expansion ("pinch open" gesture, for lack of a better word) rather than the tap-tap get what you get. In other words, if I want to see just how much sweat Cav is dripping as he crosses the line (and, for Cav, its usually not much!) Id like it to be my choice as to how far in to pan.
3-- Finally, there are pages where panning in is just not an option. The editors decided for me that the image presented is just fine in its presented format. No need for closer inspection, thank you very much.

I am using for comparison other IPad magazines on my bookshelf:
VELO
PELETON
PRO CYCLING
PAVED
ROULEUR
THE COLLARBONE
LAVA
TRI
Although all is not perfect with these mags, they are not as restrictive as CYCLE SPORT.
